    Description:
Please come and join us on SUNDAY 1st March, in the Promers’ Church, next to the Royal Albert Hall, singing Fauré’s beautiful and ever-popular Requiem.  We will also be learning and performing the first version of his Pavane Op. 50, for choir and piano – download and print off the sheet music free of charge from the A40 Choir page of the www.a40music.com by clicking HERE – where you can also buy tickets.

Fauré’s Pavane (easily mixed up with Ravel’s Pavane pour une infante defunte) composed in 1887 is currently No. 194 in the Classic fm Hall of Fame poll of the radio station’s listeners’ most popular 300 works, while the Requiem is at No. 53 I always find it interesting to do an unfamiliar version of a famous work, and as the choral parts of this only 6 minutes long piece are very easy, if you haven’t sung it before, I guarantee there’ll be plenty of time to get everyone fully comfortable with it.  The concert will also include other popular French music solo items.
