    Calling All Choral Singers..

    Join Members of Benson Choral Society in an exploration of Fauré's Requiem, one of the most rewarding pieces to sing in the whole choral repertoire. The workshop will be led by Jonathon Cole-Swinard, Head of Music and Chorus Director of Garsington Opera. Jonathon is currently also acting MD of Benson Choral Society and is an extraordinarily exciting and dynamic conductor to sing under. Our wonderful pianist, Anita D'Attellis will be accompanying us. This is an exeptional opportunity to understand Fauré's famous work more deeply and to take part in a thrilling scratch performance of it.

    Cholsey Great Hall is a lovely venue at the heart of the Cholsey Meadows estate. Download the map in Files/Resources below to get directions for driving there (we advise you not to use Google). You can park outside the hall on Spine Road with disabled parking available right by the hall. Bring your own packed lunch (or visit the excellent OxShed cafe at the entrance to Cholsey Meadows). Coffee/tea/cakes will be provided by us. Please bring a score with you if you can. We will try to make some loan copies available on the day but can not guarantee this.

    Timings for the day:
    Registration/Coffee: 9.30.
    First Session: 10.00 - 12.00.
    Lunch: 12.00 - 13.00.
    Second Session: 13.00 - 15.15.
    Break: 15:15 - 15:30.
    Performance: 15:30 - 16:00
