Description: | A French Connection – Poulenc, Debussy, Ravel + Celebrating 120 years since the birth of Francis Poulenc, Oxford Pro Musica Singers (OPMS) present a concert showcasing some of the best and most well-loved French choral classics from the 20th Century. The focus of the concert is Poulenc's Mass in G : successfully mixing conventional and radical harmonies in this virtuosic unaccompanied setting of the Mass. We also present both Debussy's popular Trois Chansons de Charles d'OrlĂ©ans and Ravel's extremely challenging Trois Chansons, together with music by the well-loved American composer Morten Lauridsen – his Chansons des Roses. Join OPMS for an evening of exciting and sublime choral music - demonstrating why they are one of Oxford's premier choirs.
